Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using HOWL ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use HOWL. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Permitted Use

You may use HOWL only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Upload, generate, or distribute explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive content
• Upload content depicting minors in any inappropriate context
• Violate any third-party copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any person
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's APIs
• Use automated tools to bypass rate limits or access controls
• Upload content that promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activity

4. Content Policy — Zero Tolerance for Explicit Material

HOWL has a strict zero-tolerance policy for explicit, adult, or NSFW content. Violations result in immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities. We actively filter uploaded content and reserve the right to remove any material that violates this policy without notice.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. By using HOWL, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your videos or clips.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are issued at our discretion for unused portions of annual plans. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

7. Free Tier Limits

Free accounts are subject to usage caps defined on the pricing page. We may adjust free tier limits at any time. Circumventing limits (e.g. creating multiple accounts) is prohibited and may result in a ban.

8. Social Platform Integrations (Instagram / Facebook)

HOWL allows you to connect your Instagram and/or Facebook account to publish clips directly to those platforms. By connecting a social account you agree to the following:

• Authorization: You authorize HOWL to request the OAuth permissions listed in our Privacy Policy (including instagram_content_publish and pages_manage_posts) solely to post content on your behalf when you explicitly trigger a post action within the app.
• Platform compliance: You remain solely responsible for ensuring that content you publish via HOWL complies with Meta's Terms of Service, Instagram's Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws. HOWL does not review content before posting.
• No third-party scraping: You may not use HOWL's Instagram integration to scrape, harvest, or collect data from other users' accounts.
• Token revocation: You may disconnect your Instagram or Facebook account at any time in your HOWL account settings. You may also revoke access directly via Instagram's or Facebook's app permission settings. Revocation stops all future posting immediately.
• Service availability: Instagram/Facebook publishing is subject to Meta's API availability and rate limits. HOWL is not liable for failed posts due to third-party API outages, rate limiting, or changes to Meta's platform policies.
• No affiliation: HOWL is an independent app and is not sponsored, endorsed, or affiliated with Meta Platforms, Inc. Instagram and Facebook are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.

9. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms. Our Privacy Policy includes a dedicated section on how we handle Instagram and Facebook data.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of AI-generated content, or fitness for a particular purpose.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ETG / HOWL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including losses arising from third-party platform (Instagram/Facebook) API changes or outages.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
